Makoto Niwā is a high school student who transfers to a new school after his parents get divorced. He is a quiet and shy boy who doesn't make friends easily. However, he soon befriends a girl named Akane Tsunemori, who is also a transfer student. Akane is a cheerful and outgoing girl who is determined to make a fresh start at her new school. Makoto and Akane become close friends and they help each other through their difficult times. One day, Makoto and Akane are walking home from school when they are attacked by a group of thugs. Makoto is beaten up and Akane is almost raped. However, they are saved by a mysterious girl named Shoko Komiyama. Shoko is a powerful psychic who uses her powers to defeat the thugs. Makoto and Akane are grateful to Shoko for saving them and they become friends with her. They soon learn that Shoko is a member of a group of psychics who are fighting against a secret organization that is trying to control the world. Makoto, Akane, and Shoko join forces to stop the organization and save the world. Makoto is a brave and resourceful boy who is willing to fight for what he believes in. He is a
